Hi, Im Deirdre, a London based IBCLC Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse with almost a decade of Infant Feeding Support experience. I have a deep passion for supporting families through the early days of breastfeeding and providing compassionate, practical and evidence based support to parents, helping them to achieve their feeding goals. As a mother of two daughters, I know first hand how rewarding breastfeeding can be, but I also know that it's certainly not always easy.
I was an Emergency Nurse in London for 17 years, with experience in both adults and paediatric emergency care. I became a Breastfeeding Peer Support Volunteer after having my first child, volunteering locally for many years. This ignited a passion for providing breastfeeding education and support to new parents and I decided to retrain as a Lactation Consultant in 2023. I now work in an Infant Feeding Specialist role within the NHS supporting families antenatally and postnatally, which includes antenatal education and breastfeeding support both within hospital and community settings.
I bring a calm, clinical perspective and I offer tailored support in a non-judgemental space, meeting you where you are. Whether that's during pregnancy, in the newborn stage or beyond, I'm here to help you feel confident and informed. Every feeding journey is different and I'd be honoured to be part of yours.

Services
I offer a range of antenatal and postnatal services to suit every need and budget. I offer home visits, video calls and WhatsApp support. To enquire or book please fill in the 'Get In Touch' form below, email me or send me a WhatsApp message and I will respond as quickly as possible, usually within a few hours. I accept Paypal and bank transfer. I am based in Wembley in North West London, so for home visits I cover the borough of Brent and all surrounding boroughs - Harrow, Ealing, Hillingdon, Barnet, Camden, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster, but also South Hertfordshire, South Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire. As I am well connected with transport, I'm willing to travel further within London so please do get in touch if you live further afield.
